Hell Bent

i loved this book dearly, seeing how the first one ended i was afraid this one would turn into a weird romance driven plot BUT i was mistaken. gladly mistaken. it held up the “harry potter on crack”- expectations i had for it and transitioned into a weirdly good fitting “found family “- storyline. the only thing i regret is not re-reading the first one before starting this one, bc wow, i was confused a lotta times with what already happened or who we already met in the first book.

If the first book (Nith House) of the series took a little time to get into, this one swallows you from the first pages and never lets you go. You find yourself praying that Leigh Bardugo writes faster and publishes the next (and last) planned book of the series. Beautifully written.

Super fesselnd, geht es direkt weiter, wo es im ersten Band aufgehört hat! Düster, voller Geister und einer Mordserie, muss Alex Stern auch dieses mal die Uniaufgaben schleifen lassen, um Darlington aus der Hölle zu retten. Noch besser als der erste Band!

Das Buch ist echt super spannend. Ich finde es ist eine sehr gelungene Fortsetzung und würde es jedem empfehlen zu lesen, der Ninth House gelesen hat und es liebte.

The second book is structured a little different than the first, but the story is still captivating. The more time I spent with the characters, the more I liked all of them and wanted to know how this part of the story ends. The secrets are unravelling and more details are uncovered. I thoroughly enjoyed the setting with hell and the rituals. I am looking forward to the last book in this series.
