hot shapphic romantasy
The Shattered Lands is a immersive sapphic fantasy/romantasy that blends magic, political intrigue, and a slow-burn romance. I didn´t think I would enjoy it all too much because I am not a fantasy reader at all, but I was surprised. The story follows Sapphire, who returns to the magical land of Eriobis after eighteen years to discover she is the lost princess. Alongside her, Ashes, a powerful witch with a mysterious past, becomes both an ally and a source of tension, leading to a romance full of sparks and emotional depth. Brenna Nation does an excellent job of building the world of Eriobis, with detailed landscapes, magic systems, and complex political dynamics that feel alive. The romance between Sapphire and Ashes is compelling, balancing enemies-to-lovers tension with a lot of sexual tension and hot scenes (iykyk). The romance between Ashes and Sapphire was probably the reason why I enjoyed the book a bit more than other fantasy/romantasy books.
