Wirklich gutes, kurzes Buch. Für Horror Fans genau das richtige! Keine unnötig in die Länge gezogene Story und sehr gute Charaktere die nachvollziehbar handeln. Hatte sehr viel Spaß beim Lesen!

I bought the book around November, but decided to read in March because the title reads "bloom" and the short introduction seemed all fairy- and cottagecore. Well, by the time I actually read it, I didn't remember what it really was about and the hint on the cover beneath the title didn't do much to warn me. my heart skipped about ten beats at once at the last 50 pages or so because I knew what was coming. and after reading it, I was unsettled, like someone's watching me. the book was good and if you read everything the book says beforehand (which I did at... page 50 or so), you partly know what to expect. I didn't like the ending and wish for a second book, but there's not much to say and a second book would even destroy the first one. still, I'm not happy about the ending.

A story so charmingly beautiful, it almost seems too perfect, maybe because it is. A wonderful sapphic romance which will send chills down your spine. While feeling safe surrounded by flowers, cupcakes and soaps, the horror of “bloom” is creeping around you. An absolutely amazing and gripping story.

This has to be one of the most surprising reads for me this year. "Bloom" is a short, delicious book about gay awakening and unimaginable horrors, mixed with a prose that just haunts and witches you, pulls you in. Gruesome and gnarly. A quick and short book with huge impact.
