The Mystery at Dunvegan Castle

By far my favourite instalment of the Edinburgh Nights - series! Once again, we accompany Ropa on a dire adventure on the Isle of Skye at the creepy and haunted Dunvegan Castle. As participant of the Society of Sceptical Enquirers' annual meeting, Ropa comes into contact with a few of the most high-ranking sorcerers there are and seizes the chance to make contact with as many as possible. However, when an irreplaceable magical scroll is stolen, the whole castle is put on lockdown and that is when the shit hits the fan for real and Ropa seems way in over her head! As always, Huchu's imagination, humour and subtle but poignant observations of the high and mighty are on top of the game and make for an entertaining reading adventure. Also, I was unable to see through the scheme and mystery of the outrageous theft until everything was laid out in the open. On top of everything, the cliffhanger at the end of the book is truly chef's kiss. I literally can't wait for more stories in the series in order to find out: who IS the mighty Ethiopian wizard Qozmos for real??
