The Nanny

Wow, wo fange ich hier an? Die Geschichte von Cassie and Aiden hat so viele großartige Komponenten. Angefangen bei Sophie, der Tochter von Aiden - dieses kleine Mädchen hat mich wirklich um den Finger gewickelt. Sophie ist nicht nur wahnsinnig resilient und reif, sondern auch ein richtiger Diamant  Auch Cassie ist wahnsinnig authentisch, ihre Handlungen und Gedanken waren so nachvollziehbar. Aiden ist genau die richtige Mischung aus ehrgeiziger und loyaler Koch, hingebungsvoller Vater und einem alleinstehenden Mann. Die Chemie zwischen Cassie und Aiden war so dick & explosiv. Der Leser konnte traumhaft nah an der Veränderung der beiden teilhaben & miterleben, wie die beiden zu Freunden und dann zu Freunden mit gewissen Vorzügen und letztendlich zu einem Paar wurden. Lana Ferguson wusste absolut was sie hier tut, denn der Spice in diesem Buch kommt nicht zu kurz. Ehrliche Kommunikation, gegenseitiges Verständnis und Respekt zwischen unseren Protagonisten sind in diesem Roman groß geschrieben und machen  die Lovestory zwischen den beiden umso schöner zu lesen! Das Buch ist ein großartiger Roman, um aus einer Leseflaute auszukommen, wie ich finde, da man sich absolut in die Story fallen lassen kann und diese mit einem wohligen Gefühl verlässt und definitiv Lust aufs Lesen macht.

(KLAPPENTEXT) Dieses Buch ist witzig und unterhaltsam für zwischendurch. Einfach mal als palette cleanser. Es geht um Cassie, welche finanziell kaum um die Runden kommt und auf der Jobsuche ist. Der hilfslose Single Dad Aiden ist mehr als dankbar, als Cassie sich als Nanny bewirbt. Das Problem ist nur, Cassie hat eine Vergangenheit mit OnlyFans und wie es sich herausgestellt hat, war Aiden ihr loyalster Zuschauer. Ich mochte alle Charaktere sehr. Vor allem aber Aiden's Tochter und ihre Beziehung zu ihrer ersten besten Freundin.

Lana Ferguson’s debut is a steamy workplace romance with a lot of heart and humor. When Cassie Evans finds herself out of a job and on the brink of eviction, she is left with two choices: Find a new job asap or reactivate her old OnlyFans account. Luckily, she is hired as a live-in nanny, which kills two birds with one stone. Little does she know, however, that her unfairly attractive new employer might just have been her biggest fan once… „The Nanny“ doesn’t exactly reinvent the wheel of romance novels, but is entertaining just the same. Some parts, especially in the beginning, are a bit repetitive and there aren’t any major plot twists, but the story is nice and the characters are great. I especially loved Cassie’s friendship with her elderly neighbor, who is as hilarious as she is sweet. Something I appreciate a lot, is the way the story deals with grief. It isn’t the focus of the book at all, but still integrated very well and shows how it manifests in different ways. The romance part of this novel is kind of so-so, in my opinion. Some scenes I loved and others I found a bit awkward, but overall they are pretty enjoyable and will appeal to a lot of readers who enjoy their romances on the steamy side. Last but not least, I have to mention something that might not stand out to others, but still baffles me days after finishing this book. I am all for personal hygiene, but it is simply absurd how often Aiden takes a shower. Before work, after work, after the gym, before going to bed...I was seriously concered about the condition of his skin. I recommend „The Nanny“ to readers who enjoy romance novels that are as steamy as they are funny and heartfelt, and appreciate a well-rounded cast of characters.
