The second book takes up where the first ended. However, this time we also get Blythe's POV, additional to Signa's. And this kind of threw me off, as I enjoyed Signa's POV more and missed here interactions with Death. The focus in this story is divided between both female protagonists, which may be interesting for some readers. The introduction of Fate is interesting, as his story in intertwined with the characters we already know. The setting of the book again is really nice and atmospheric, but the shift of focus disappointed me a little.

I love this series. I love the characters. I love the mystery. I love the writing style. I love Death - he is such a good MMC. Can’t get enough of this author! I have to inhale everything she writes.

So much fun to read

Foxglove - once again - does gothic romance incredibly well. It’s atmospheric, dark and intoxicating. It’s everything you’d want out of a gothic romance/murder mystery: court intrigue, ghosts, a tragic lovestory and headstrong characters. I had a great time reading this.

As soon as this sequel to Belladonna came out I had to read it. I'm just so in love with all the characters and the second book was just as breathtaking as the first book. It's gonna be a terribly long wait for the third book.
