    A bloody, satisfying finale

I love it when a sequel doesn’t just try to outdo the first book, but takes the story in a whole new direction. That’s exactly what worked so well for me with Court of Wanderers. The story gets bigger, the world becomes more complex, and suddenly there’s so much more going on beneath the surface than you might have expected. I especially loved diving deeper into the family history and uncovering all the secrets along the way. We also get to see much more of the vampire world and its politics this time around, including power struggles, old conflicts, and quite a few revelations I didn’t see coming. It makes the finale feel much more expansive and layered. And of course, it wouldn’t be Court of the Vampire Queen without plenty of suspense, blood, and some seriously sexy moments. I really liked how those darker, more intense moments balanced out the larger world-building and the more personal character arcs. As the final book in the series, Court of Wanderers felt like a satisfying conclusion. Epic, dark, engaging, and full of enough surprises to keep things from ever feeling predictable.
