For Whom the Belle Tolls

'For whom the Belle tolls' is the absolute perfect beginning to Lilly's, Bele's and Sharkie's story in the afterlife! It tells the love story between the soul Lilly and the demon prince Bleth, it covers their absolute banter as well as their difficulties being two entirely different species and all. During their story Lilly adopts the little child soul of Sharkie, which had endured too much suffering in their short little life. 'For whom the Belle tolls' is not your typical fantasy romance book, it's so much more. It really deals with complicated topics as child abuse, religious trauma, ptsd and so much more, but in a way that resonates with you as a reader. It is an absolutely brilliantly written novel for all fans of wholesome fantasy, found family and of course her Tik Tok series Hells bells.

The world building is incredible, the romance is swoon worthy. It has great found family with the potential for more ;) If you have seen the TikTok’s beforehand doesn’t really matter, the book on its own is a well developed story and definitely worth the hype. I loved every second!

This book was presented as a wholesome romantasy about a dead soul who works at a hellp desk to answer questions and deal with 'karen souls' and I thought that that would be the main focus of the book. I thought wrong... We follow Lilly, a soul in the afterlife trying to find her purpose and finding it in giving mean souls the customer service they deserve, and Bel, a handsome demon and the general of the hell army. I have to say I really liked their relationship, it was built on a friendship that didnt feel as just a matter of fact to then evolving into a love relationship anyway, it was real. The transtion didnt feel forced and sweet. I also really really appreciated the representation of all forms of afterlife and identities. That was all I really liked though, the rest of the plot lines felt like a wattpad story at best, I would have read as a 14 year old. A lot of things that happended felt so unrealistic and forced like the author just needed to add stuff to prolong the book. I may have gone at this book wrong but when I buy a real book, i dont want it to feel like a cheap unrealistic wattpad story. So be aware that it isnt a literary nasterpiece but if you want a fantasical romantasy this may be for you.

A beautiful, healing, heartwarming and hilarious story taking place in the Afterlife. The world building is stunning, love her version of the Afterlife. Found Family is also very much included. With characters who are fun, interesting and feel like real people you would love to meet. I laughed and cried, couldn´t stop reading. My personal Highlight Book this year! The prequel to Jaysea Lynn`s (@sea.ya.later) Tik Tok series "Hell´s Belles". If you don´t know them I highly recommend watching after finishing the book. Book 2 is in work.
