The Third Love A Novel

I find it so hard, to put into words how I feel about this book. This is the story about a young woman, Riko, escaping her unhappy marriage into dreamworlds, living the life of a high-ranking courtesan in the 17th century and as a serving lady in the Middle Ages. But most of all, this is a story about gender roles, relationships and the nature of love. You can tell that the research, that went into those dreamscapes, has been done meticulously and although it has been a slow read, I couldn't put it down. I loved the melancholy vibes and in the end, I just sat there, feeling sad, thinking about Riko's life.
