Leicht enttäuschend

Nachdem der erste Band der Reihe für mich ein Jahreshighlight war, war der 2.Band leider eine kleine Enttäuschung. Sprache ist wie im ersten Band toll eingesetzt sowohl als stilistisches Mittel als auch als Handlungspunkt. Leider fand ich die Protagonistin hier ein wenig rückläufig was ihre Charakterentwicklung angeht und die Handlung selbst ist in der Mitte komplett stehen geblieben für einen großen Teil des Buches. Das Ende war dann widerrum sehr spannend wie auch schon im ersten Band. Aber dieses permanente Stressgefühl was ich im ersten Band empfunden habe, und was mich auch immer angetrieben hat weiterzulesen, ist hier leider ausgeblieben. Trotzdem will ich den 3.Band sehr gerne lesen und hoffe, dass dieser wieder besser wird.

A war of wyverns doesn't waste any time, only a few pages into the action begins. After the events of the first book, there is now an actual war going on. And once more, it's somehow up to the Mc, Vivian, to end it. So she gets sent on a somewhat impossible mission. Overall, I had a good time while reading this book. It was fast-paced and action-packed, but we also got to learn more about the different dragon species and their languages. The only thing that annoyed me was the romance. For the most part, it felt forced, and the story could've easily done without it.
