Ok, hear me out: we know how this will go. It's never the first love interest, is it? BUT - this book is as delicious as they come, enemies to lovers, an unique magic system and a female protagonist that doesn't take sh*t, but is also in no way, shape or form almighty. She has flaws, big ones as such, and that is really refreshing. We have found family, love, spice, magic, vikings, blood and epicness. And we have female empowerment. In a fantasy novel. I know, right? Like, we don't NEED the big broody heroes... but we WANT them.
