I want to be honest: if Elsie Silver wouldn't be a no brainer for me and wouldn't be one of my favorite authors, I never would've picked that book up. But I was surprised in the best way possible. What a great love story! To be quiet frank the story sounds more forbidden than it really is. Silver carefully constructs the realtionship between Bash and Gwen in a way that only let's you cheer for their Happy End. A great finale to Silvers single dads book series and the beautiful nature and the bit of suspense, where the cherry on top. Highly recommend for romance lovers and an absolute highlight of 2025.

This book is an absolute gem! It’s the perfect mix of tension, emotion, and passion, with a captivating forbidden love story that kept me hooked from start to finish. The chemistry between Gwen and Bash is undeniable, and the way their relationship unfolds is both heart-wrenching and beautiful. Sebastian Rousseau is a fantastic addition to the single dad book series! His character is complex, relatable, and absolutely swoon-worthy. The author has done an incredible job of blending romance with depth, creating a character who feels both strong and vulnerable at the same time. If you’re a fan of forbidden love, well-developed characters, and heartfelt stories, this book is a must-read. I can’t recommend it enough! Elsie Silver delivered with Wild Card. Hot take, but I truly think each book in the Rose Hill series has gotten better—stronger chemistry, deeper storytelling, and more heartfelt romance. And Wild Card? The best yet. Gwyn and Bash’s connection felt so real—from their airport meet-cute to that emotional epilogue. And Clyde!!! I loved getting more of his backstory. His bond with both Gwyn and Bash was everything—like the father figure (and secret cupid) they needed. The tequila and limes, the slow-burn tension, the guilt, the vulnerability—every moment built beautifully. The flight scene and what followed? Absolutely delivered. Their raw, emotional balcony moment wrecked me, and yes, I cried way too much. Oh—and the raccoon? Iconic. This book tugged hard on my heartstrings. I felt everything. And that ending... It’s going to be hard to top this one!!
