You Weren't Meant to be Human The bestselling adult horror debut about cults, pregnancy, and worms

I don't like the thought of being pregnant. I don't like gore. So why did I read "You weren't meant to be human"? Well, I was lured in with two words: worm cult. You can imagine my curiosity. But still, you might be thinking: "Lucie why did you rate it five out of five stars if you hate the things the book entails?" The most simple answer would be "You have to experience it for yourself." but I'll try to explain briefly: The immersiveness of the story is insane. The characters and the setting are incredibly well written and and draw a pretty distinct picture of the horror of being pregnant if you don't want to be (I luckily haven't made this experience but White makes you imagine it in terrifying detail). Are the contents of this book horrible and and did they make me smoke a cigarette out of pure stress? Absolutely. But it's also an indescriblably great book. So please please please (okay Sabrina) read it if you have a moderatly strong stomach and no sense of self preservation.
