Project Hail Mary

Ich habe den Film gesehen und danach sofort das Buch bestellt - und jetzt bin ich von beiden immer noch begeistert. Project Hail Mary macht einfach Spaß zu lesen, regt zum nachdenken an und hat mein lang vergessenes Interesse an der Wissenschaft wiedererweckt. Es ist sehr humorvoll, kreativ und emphatievoll - ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Ich habe den Roman gerade beendet und bin froh, dass ich ihn gelesen habe, bevor ich den Film sehen werde. Die Handlung ist auf intelligente Weise aus wissenschaftlicher Sicht geschrieben. Aufgrund meiner Dyskalkulie habe ich Probleme mit Zahlen und kann Beschreibungen, die sie betreffen, nicht verstehen. Deshalb waren mir einige Passagen unverständlich. Die Struktur der Handlung, in der der Leser jeweils nur Bruchstücke der Vergangenheit erfährt, baut Spannung auf, die es unmöglich macht, das Buch aus der Hand zu legen. Und obwohl diese Geschichte am Rande einer Apokalypse spielt und ich dazu neige, Wissenschaft objektiv und rational zu betrachten, wird das Thema Freundschaft mit großer emotionaler Tiefe dargestellt. Alles Liebe für Rocky, ich freue mich darauf, dich auf der Leinwand zu sehen, auch wenn ich ein wenig Angst vor dir haben werde.

It was absolutely amazing. From the very first page, I was completely hooked. The story pulls you in right away, and it keeps you engaged the whole time with its mix of science, humor, and emotional moments. The main character is incredibly relatable, and the way the story unfolds makes you feel like you’re part of the journey. I especially loved how the book explains complex scientific ideas in a fun and easy-to-understand way. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys sci-fi or just a really good story. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t do a great job capturing the magic of the book. It wasn’t able to fully bring the depth and feeling of the story to life like the book does. Overall, definitely worth reading!

Total spannend, witzig, sehr glaubwürdiges Worldbuilding und unerwartet berührend. Offensichtlich auch wissenschaftlich gut recherchiert und korrekt. Kann das Buch nur jedem empfehlen.
