Fever Dream von Elsie Silver Ein emotionaler , tiefgründiger und voller Überraschungen grandioser Auftakt. Mich hat die Autorin mit ihren sensationellen, fliessend und modern Schreibstil gleich zu Beginn gepackt, gefesselt und mitgerissen. Die Protagonisten sind durch ihre Vergangenheit geprägt und tragen beide ein hartes Paket. Jeder von ihnen geht auf seine eigene Art und Weise damit um. Ihre Entwicklung mitzuerleben war spannend, emotional und großartig. Zumal die Autorin mit brillanter Empathie die dargelegten Gefühle auf den Leser über springen lässt. Geschicke Wendungen erhöhen immer wieder die Spannung und unvorhersehbare Aktionen überraschen völlig, so daß man das nächste Kapitel kaum erwarten kann. Ein belebender Roman der alles enthält, was ein brillant, perfekter Roman braucht.

What a wonderful start into the new series! I so enjoyed reading this book, and had a hard time putting it down! Emmett is living on the ranch from his grandparents, and they are in a bit of a need for money, which is the only reason he agrees to be the bachelor on the show. He's not super happy about it all, and when Theo Silver's little sister arrives at the ranch, he's like oh no! But Julia has so much wit and charm that Emmett simply can’t help but feel drawn to her. Their banter is hilarious and I laughed a lot. But also Emmett - wow, he's so much more than the people from the rodeo circuit make him out to be!!! He's such a tender loving and caring human, and he does everything for the people he loves. Julia sees hinter his facade quite quick and the more time they spend together, the more sparks fly between them! I am super excited about the next books in the series!
