Usually I would not enjoy a typical happy ending, but you start to bond with these characters so much, that you really root for their happiness. Overall this trilogy is definetly worthy of the hype and love! :)

This book broke and healed my heart on equal parts. This whole series is just so wonderfully written, I still can't believe it's over. I loved this series so much and Evangeline and Jacks deserved their happily ever after more than anything. Both of them really had to fight for it and Jacks isn't always sure if he should fight, or leave Evangeline for good. For the first time he is not trying to do what he wants but to do what is right. I have to admit, I had to look up if there was a plothole at the end (I haven't read Caraval yet and wasn't sure if it's explained there, or if she just...forgot :D) but after a quick Google search I can happily say: All my questions have been answered! I hope Stephanie Garber let's us stay in her world just a little longer (maybe with a story about Lala?) but for now I am happy to still have the Caraval series to look forward to.

Okay, wow… ich hatte lange nicht mehr so sehr auf ein Buch hingefiebert, wie auf den dritten und finalen Band von OUABH, A Curse For True Love von Stephanie Garber. Hatte ich mir das Buch vorbestellt? Natürlich! Hatte ich mir ebenfalls, da ich nicht warten konnte, den Band als Ebook gekauft? Selbstverständlich. Lesen und auch zu Ende gelesen hatte ich das Buch gleich am Erscheinungstag, ja beinahe schon verschlungen. Und ich kann euch sagen, dass ich selten so sehr im Geschehen drin war, wie bei A Curse For True Love. Man wollte schreien, weinen, das Buch aus der Hand schmeißen und gleichzeitig einfach nur wissen wie es jetzt weiter geht und, ob Evangeline und Jacks endlich ihr wohlverdientes Happy End bekommen, oder eher nicht. Diese Reihe hat mein Herz und ich liebe sie sehr. Es kam wirklich Jacks zu wenig vor, aber da es Evangeline’s Geschichte war, fand ich es irgendwie schon verständlich und damit meine ich nicht, dass es nicht Jacks Geschichte auch wäre. Trotzdem hätte ich mir mehr Auftritte von ihm gewünscht und weitaus, weitaus weniger Präsenz von Apollo, der mich so in manchen Leseminuten wirklich den letzten Nerv geraubt hat (eigentlich fast alle sechs Stunden, die ich an dem Buch saß). Anyway ~ Für mich ist es wirklich das perfekte Ende. Eines, welches alle Protagonisten verdient haben. Und ich hoffe sehr, dass es vielleicht irgendwann noch einen Spinoff geben wird, in dem alle Protagonisten, aus Caraval und Once Upon A Broken Heart vorkommen werden. Ja, vielleicht eine ganz neue Geschichte die im Magnificent North spielen wird. Potenzial für eine weitere Geschichte gibt es allemal! „And he loved her. He loved her. He loved her. He loved her. He loved her so much he’d rewritten history.“

I didn't expect the third book to be as thrilling and gripping as the first two books, but it did not disappoint. Evangeline and Jacks finally get their happy ending and the journey to reach it was so difficult. Especially in this book even more stones were thrown their way and they still managed to survive.
