Occult rituals, obsession, and big feelings - the story of Wyatt, Peter, and James really got me emotionally involved. The atmosphere of Willow Heath and the past of the three friends is told in such an engaging way that I couldn't put the book down. After the death of Wyatt's father, she returns to her old home to finally burn it down. But when she finds Peter held captive there, her family's dark pact takes its toll. The dynamic between Wyatt and Peter is intense, but I was also blown away by the little moments with James. Loss and love, hope and destruction— these are all-encompassing elements even between worlds. I love this book.
