Meine letzte Rezension Wings of Starlight von Allison Saft
For every Tinkerbell fan that fell in love with the crumbs we got to see of Clarion's and Milori's love story, this is for you. The yearning and love for each other was written so well, it made me feel like I wanted to scream. And highlighting all of Milori's swoonworthy quotes would make a lot of pages in my book bright red. I also love all the inner struggles they both had and how they were portrayed. Yes, they were focused a lot in this one, but I personally didn't mind that. It made them feel so real and I now see the characters with such different eyes...it makes rewatching the movies even better than before. But if you watched the movie, you also know what's about to happen, which means that I was crying. A lot. Even though the beginning was a bit slower and I had a bit of a rough time getting into it, the middle and the end were way more action-packed than I would have thought. Which led to me reading the last 200 pages in one sitting, and I'm not sure if I finished the book or if it finished me. Either way, I had a great time.

Wings of Starlight

    Throne of Glass

    I can't even explain what makes these books as good as they are, it’s just the whole package that makes it so fantastic. It is the characters, with all their realness, their inner monologues and the bonds between them. It is the plot, that just sucks you in and makes you never want to leave this world full of stories. And it definitely is the feeling you get while reading. The feeling of witnessing a world changing, characters growing and being right with them, experiencing every battle by their side. Some say that the first book starts a bit to slow for them but it's still a book without flaws for me and the series only gets better.

    The House in the Cerulean Sea

    The characters of this book are some of the most heartwarming I've ever witnessed. They will steal your heart with all their individual quirks, will show you what life and love is really about and will make you happy cry a lot more than is probably healthy. The book has a very character-based storyline, but it will be perfect for readers who enjoy exactly that. Especially for readers who enjoy that, the found family trope and a cute romance plot that feels cozy and wholesome.

    A Court of Wings and Ruin

    This is my favorite one. It's rare that a series gets better with every book but this one did it with ease. The romance, the battles, the character development of almost everyone?? It was such a perfect ending for the story and I wish I could read it again for the first time. The beginning with Feyre as the mastermind and the ending when everyone got together and fought in the battle were probably my favorite parts, but there were so many more good scenes. It was just great!

    Six of Crows

    When a group of six comes together, everyone as different as they could be, problems will occur. But while surviving and fighting the worst battles together, they will realize that difference isn't always bad. A found family which will warm your heart, even though they all could kill each other (and maybe they sometimes try...) This book couldn't be more gripping and the characters are the cherry on top. For me the best book in the whole Grishaverse.

    The Favourites

    Normalerweise bin ich gar kein Fan von Miscommunication, toxischen Pärchen und unnötigem Drama, aber hier hat es einfach perfekt funktioniert. Der Interview-Schreibstil gibt einem das Gefühl, als schaue man gerade eine Dokumentation zum Leben eines echten Eistanz-Paares, samt jeglicher Wendungen in ihrem Leben. Dadurch, dass man alle ihre Erfolge genauso wie die vielen Misserfolge miterlebt, kann man einfach nur mitfiebern und das Ende fühlt sich dadurch nur noch wichtiger an. Und auch wenn die Charaktere bei weitem nicht perfekt sind und nur so vor Fehlern und Fehlentscheidungen strotzen, hab ich sie alle geliebt und gebetet, dass Heith und Katarina ihr Happy End bekommen. Ich liebe dieses Buch mit all seinen Charakteren und hab es sehr genossen über ihr verdrehtes Leben zu lesen.

    The Song of Achilles

    This book destroyed me but I still love it so so much. The way Madeline Miller describes these characters really brings them to life and makes you feel like your living with them right by their side. The inner monologues she's delivering are so emotional, that you're looking right into the characters heads, which makes you understand their feelings and thoughts in a way that you can't even judge them for all the mistakes they make on their way. Even flawed, you'll love them and want to protect them from everything that's about to happen. Being deserved or not. This book really touched me and I definitely was crying a lot at the end, because I then realised, that you can't protect them...

    Weit über der smaragdgrünen See

    Dieses Buch hat mich wirklich umgehauen. Schon mit den ersten Seiten fängt man an in eine so einzigartige Welt zu versinken, wie ich sie noch nie zuvor gesehen habe. "Weit über der smaragdgrünen See" ist wirklich ein außergewöhnliches Buch, mit Charakteren, die einem direkt ins Herz gehen und nicht mehr loslassen. Tress zeigt uns eine wundervolle Welt und es ist so schön zu sehen, wie sie nicht nur mit den Freunden, die sie auf dem Weg trifft, zusammenwächst, sondern auch wie sie selbst über sich hinauswächst. Einfach nur eine Welt voller Wunder, Freundschaft und ganz viel Liebe.

    The Love Hypothesis

    This was probably one of the fastest times I got into a book. Not just because of the writing style, which sucks you in with its easy flow, but also because of the super immersive plot. Theres fake dating, work-based romance, a slight age gap and lots of other tropes that will get you into the story quickly. And even though it is a fast read there’s still the feeling of two characters knowing and loving each other deeply and I fell in love with these two straight away.

    Just For The Summer

    Everything about this book is perfect. I love the characters, I love the storyline, I love the setting...this could have been 1000 pages long and I would have read it. The problems in this book felt very real and yes, there was a third-act breakup, but this one was necessary, which is something I would have never guessed I'd say in my life. But it made the ending (again): perfect

    Lovely War

    Greek mythology, a war, and a tragic love story already sound like the recipe for a pretty good time...and I can promise that it is. Maybe not the fastest read, but the setting and the characters make up for it. And don't get me started on the writing. I loved everything about this.
