Leigh Bardugo just knows how to write characters and those "oh, I should've seen that coming!" moments - this duology is one of those stories where you just forget that you're reading and get absolutely immersed in the world of Ketterdam and these six very wholsesome and complex characters!

10/10 would always recommend a Bardugo book!

Ein Buch von dem man schon sehr viel gehört hat und bei dem ich dementsprechend hohe Erwartungen hatte. Diese wurden auf jeden Fall auch erfüllt. Ich brauchte ein paar Kapitel, bis ich in die Geschichte eintauchen konnte und die Welt verstanden habe. Aber dann hat mich das Buch in seinen Bann gezogen und ich konnte es nicht mehr aus der Hand legen.

A group of charming criminals...

I've read this book in the span of a few days and enjoyed it for what it was: A story about a big heist that evolves into something of much larger scale. It's dark and atmospheric, the characters feel authentic and their backstories add a lot to the overall story.

I loved Six of Crows! Six outcasts on their way to perform a heist noone has ever dared to try. I loved the changing perspectives and the overall storyline and dark and gloomy vibe this book has. All the characters made their way into my heart really fast and I was so excited to seee where this story will take us. The worldbuilding and Ketterdam as a first major place of action was extremely well done and I wish I could take a stroll around town (looking at the crime rates, maybe rather not but I imagine it's so gloomy and pretty!) If you, like me, are a fan of the found-family-trope and morally grey main characters as well as good representation, this one's for you!
