    great book !

I was captivated by this book and the story. The way the author describes the emotions is so captivating that you have to keep reading. You always feel like you know what's going to happen, but the story changes every time. It's truly gripping. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mysteries and crime. 10/10 would read it again!

    I LOVE this book!

The psychological tension and gripping narrative built a suspenseful atmosphere that kept me guessing. The major plot twist at the end made my jaw drop to the floor—it was mind-blowing! A must-read for readers who love surprises.

    Buch (Taschenbuch)

    Aufreibend. Fesselnd. Sprachlos.

Ganz klare Leseempfehlung!

This book is nothing but brilliant. You get involved in the story perfectly and I love the writing style. The twist is insane. But I do think u need to like this kind of books if you really wanna enjoy it. Still, I won’t stop recommending it :)

    Holy Plottwist!

A captivating and gripping novel that delves deep into the realm of psychology. As Theo Faber works with his patient, Alicia Berenson—who murdered her husband and has not spoken a single word since—the boundaries between doctor and patient begin to blur. What is truth, and what is delusion? And whom, as readers, can we trust?

Do yourself a favour and read it!

Wow wow wow. Just when I thought I knew what was happening I was proven wrong time and time again. One of the most well written, thought out, complex thrillers I’ve read in a long time. Incredible descriptive language, cunning storytelling abilities and unbelievable twists. Had me on the edge of my seat the WHOLE time. I devoured it. A masterpiece.

Deep Dive: The Brilliant Psychology of 'The Silent Patient'

Looking for a psychological thriller that will completely consume your mind and leave your jaw on the floor? Look no further. The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides is an absolute masterpiece of psychological suspense that lives up to every bit of its massive hype. The Plot: Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. She is a famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, living in a grand house in one of London’s most desirable areas. Then, one evening, her husband Gabriel returns home late, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face. After that night, she never speaks another word. Her refusal to talk turns a domestic tragedy into a national mystery. Alicia is hidden away at the Grove, a secure psychiatric unit. Enter Theo Faber, a criminal psychotherapist who has waited a long time for the chance to work with her. He is deeply obsessed with uncovering the truth and is determined to unravel the mystery of why she fell silent. The middle section slows down slightly as Theo investigates Alicia's family, and a few secondary characters feel a bit cliché. But trust me, the payoff at the end makes every single page worth it:)
