I have finished this book in two days. I simply couldn’t put it down and despite many guesses from my side, I didn’t see the end coming at all. The novel starts with a quote from the Greek Drama Alcestis: “But why does she not speak?” Yes, why? Why does the protagonist Alicia not speak after having murdered her husband (or has she not done so)? Why has Alicia painted her most famous piece of art “Alcestis” right after her husband’s death? Why is the second protagonist, the criminal psychotherapist Theo, so intrigued by her story? Questions you want to have answered as a reader and slowly, in 5 parts, the novel takes you there. The 5 parts are of course linked to the traditional Greek Drama structure, a set-up I liked a lot and thought very apt for this book. Despite the classic structure, the novel is modern, fast-paced and highly original. It is full of suspense & surprise, tension & passion and the end is simply mind-blowing! A must read for thriller lovers!

Von Anfang an fasciniziert die Geschichte, der Schluss erwartet man nicht! Erzählt von einem der Protagonist fühlt man sich umsomehr bei der Geschichte gefesselt. Spannende Lektüre.
