Tender is the Flesh

The main character work on a Human cattle Slaughterhouse. Where a kind of human is treaten like Cattle just to get Meat. Its shockingwith a lot of twistest and keeps you on the toese the whole time. The last twist kinda was a bit much but still i would read it again and again. You want something you wont forgett go for it ,it will stay in your memory for a loonngg time

It‘s just raw gore paired with emotional whiplash. Love how this book sucks you in and you just NEED to know how this ends. I‘m a VERY slow reader and just started doing this consistently. I read this in 12h TOPS. Loved every second.

Das Buch finde ich persönlich toll, auch wenn ich Kritik an dem Werk verstehe will ich hier sagen: Der Hauptcharakter soll nichts ändern. Er ist teil des Problems und das ist vom Anfang an der Geschichte klar. Ein Buch ohne fairytale happy end das nicht davor zurückscheut die Menschheit zu kritisieren.

What happens in this book and the story behind it is definately not for everybody but the way it is written fits the story really well. The way different opinions are described, the story of the main character, the factorys, the government, all that is well done. I still don’t know what to think of the ending haha but if you are looking for an interesting and well gruesome story that will get your brain going and make you think, this book is a must! Little side note: The way the government was included in this story made me think so much and is so well done.

Animals are poisonous to humans due to a new virus spreading among them. What is the solution? By dividing people into normal humans and "heads", suitable for consumption, people can still indulge in their carnivorous urges with so called "special meat". Everyon knows it is human, yet no one mentions it openly. We follow Marcos, a high ranking worker in a meat procesing plant, in his work an everyday life. The normalcy with which this entire ordeal is treated, while the procss of selling and butchering humans is so closely and objectively written, can only be described as as gruesome. It will make your gut turn, and it will make you question your relation to meat, and it's a fantastic read all at the same time. We can watch as Marcos' life falls apart, torn between societal norms and what he might find in the human head that got gifted to him, and we watch him going on about his life in a cannibalistic society. Is horror your thing, do you want a critique on the slaughter of cattle in meat plants, or are you just looking for your next book with cannibalistic themes? in any case, this is for you!
