Beautiful World, Where Are You

Ich liebe einfach diese zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen und Gedanken in dem Buch. Könnte es für immer weiter lesen. Natürlich ist es wie immer Geschmacksache, aber ich kann es allen wirklich nur empfehlen:)

Ich liebe den Schreibstyle von Sally Rooney. Man kann sich einfach gut in die Charaktere versetzten. Es fragen sich bestimmt einige, ob sich Ende 20 Anfang 30 plötzlich einfach alles ändert und man erwartete Anforderungen erfüllen kann/muss und mit beiden Beinen im Leben stehen muss. Mit diesem Buch fühlt man sich verstanden, wenn es Ende 20 noch nicht alles ganz nach Plan läuft! Wobei eine Konstante immer bleibt, nämlich Freundschaft

Nach einem etwas langwierigen Start, geht das Buch in die zwischenmenschliche Tiefe und ist am Puls der Zeit. Freue mich schon auf ihre nächsten Bücher

As always rooney brings philosophical questions to an easy read book that explores 2 relationships. I didn't want to put the book down and I'm sad it's over, can't wait for her next book!

to say that my, as well as probably everyone elses, expectations for this book were extremely high would be and understatement. basically, i was terrified that this book wouldn’t be as good as i’d imagined it to be, which would have been easy to be honest, since the bar for sally rooney’s books i set is very high already anyway. needless to say im ECSTATIC that this book managed to not only up live to the expectations i have crafted in my head for months, years (?), but somehow even managed to exceed them. beautiful world, where are you? is her best work in my opinion. i enjoyed everything about it. i enjoyed the strong female friendship between alice and eileen, i adored the descriptions of the scenery, the insane detailing, the prose, the dialogues, the text messages, the wit. bwway did the perfect job of describing human relationships, whether they are platonic, sexual or romantic, while at the same time the world is, quite frankly, going to shit, whether thats because of climate change, a global pandemic or poverty. i enjoyed every second i spent with this book, forcing myself to put it away every now and then so i’d get to spend more time with it. thank you sally rooney for another masterpiece which i will find myself thinking about for quite literally the rest of my days lol
