Throne of Glass From the # 1 Sunday Times best-selling author of A Court of Thorns and Roses

Throne of Glass introduces the world of Celaena Sardothien, a notorious assasin who is chosen for a competition: Who gets to be the King's Champion? She is chosen for this trial by the King's Son, Dorian. He frees Celaena from the prison she's currently in and takes her to the Rifthold, Adarlan's capital. There she fights hard to become the Champion. She wants to earn her freedom, so she doesn't have to return to the prison camp. Celaena is roped into power struggles and mysterious conspiracies during her trials, forms new and unexpected alliances and proves just how strong and persevering she actually is. Throne of Glass is the kickstart to an epic fantasy series, with so many amazing, complex characters, who you grow to love over the course of eight books. It's a story about fate and destiny, magic, love and so much more. I can seriously say that I think about this series daily. The journey of the characters, the struggles they have to endure and the challenges they master are truly inspiring!

I can't even explain what makes these books as good as they are, it’s just the whole package that makes it so fantastic. It is the characters, with all their realness, their inner monologues and the bonds between them. It is the plot, that just sucks you in and makes you never want to leave this world full of stories. And it definitely is the feeling you get while reading. The feeling of witnessing a world changing, characters growing and being right with them, experiencing every battle by their side. Some say that the first book starts a bit to slow for them but it's still a book without flaws for me and the series only gets better.

A thrilling story about a young woman who doesn't need a prince in shining armor to save her.

Throne of Glass was a rollercoaster ride through and through. Heartbreak, fits of laughter, tears and sweat. So much happens in this series that I cannot even start to put into words everything to describe it. But it is great. It really is. Go read it!!!

One of the greatest epic high fantasy series I’ve ever read. What starts with a raging assassin, a lost crown prince and a confused captain of the guard, transforms into a compelling eight book series. It’s a story about war, friendship, love, difficult decisions and destiny. The characters are extremely well written and multidimensional. Celaena Sardothien is one of the greatest female main characters to ever exist. She is smart, cunning, brutal and iconic. The whole series is such an incredible experience, that I still can’t find anything that compares.
