The Cat Who Saved the Library

It has been a while since I read "The Cat who Saved Books", so I might misremember things a little. I am not sure whether Tiger, the cat from the title, is as much of a puppet master in the background in that one too, but here he is certainly less the protagonist than Nanami, the asthma-ridden girl, who likes to go to the library every day. Like its predecessor, "The Cat who Saved the Library" is divided into a few episodes, but it does feel a little more coherent if a little less imaginative. When I read "... Books" I felt thrown into a Miyazaki movie, while "... the Library" could also be a lower-tier anime. Still it is a fantastic book in every sense of the word. Book lovers will appreciate all the small cameos from the world of literature, including "The Cat who Saved Books". I have loved books more, but it still kept me captivated.
