Heaven Official's Blessing: Tian Guan Ci Fu (Deluxe Hardcover Novel) Vol. 1 Vol.

There are some books you enjoy, some books you love, and then there are books that completely take over your heart. Heaven Official’s Blessing is definitely the last one. This series feels like so much more than a fantasy romance. It’s a story about love, devotion, sacrifice, loneliness, trauma, faith, and what it truly means to keep choosing someone even after centuries of suffering. The relationship between Xie Lian and Hua Cheng is easily one of my favorite things about this entire series. Their love is incredibly devoted, but what makes it so powerful is that it isn't simply about romance. It's about being seen and accepted completely, even at your lowest. Hua Cheng's unwavering faith in Xie Lian is both beautiful and heartbreaking, while Xie Lian's kindness and compassion make it impossible not to fall in love with him as a character. I also loved how much mystery surrounds the story. There are ghosts, gods, calamities, ancient kingdoms, curses, and countless secrets waiting to be uncovered. There are details planted throughout the story that make you realize just how much larger the narrative and story is. And the emotional payoff is HUGE. This book can be hilarious one moment and absolutely destroy you the next. The humor, especially from the characters' interactions, gives the story some much-needed lightness because there are some genuinely heartbreaking moments throughout the series. What surprised me most, though, was how much the story made me think about kindness. Xie Lian goes through an extraordinary amount of suffering, yet his compassion remains such an important part of who he is. The story repeatedly asks whether kindness still matters when the world doesn't reward you for it—and that theme stayed with me long after I finished reading. The world-building can feel overwhelming at first, especially with all the gods, titles, history etc., but once everything starts coming together, it becomes incredibly rewarding. (but it does help to have a little notebook at hand for notes :)) Heaven Official’s Blessing is beautiful, tragic, funny, romantic, and sometimes absolutely cruel to your feelings. It’s a story about two people who have suffered enormously but still manage to find something precious in each other. My absolute favorite series ever! “Body in abyss, heart in paradise.”

Eight books, all of them are as beautiful as no other for me. When i bought the first one, i would have never thought that i could love a story as much as i love this one. This series contains everything. From hilarious moments to heartbreaking ones, from thrilling times to romantic ones. You will find magic, romance, angst, revenge and even humour in here. There is the crown prince Xie Lian, who got demoted from heaven and who returnes there for the third time after 800 years. He is the protagonist of this novel and made many gods angry by destroying their homes in process of accending to heaven. So, to pay of his depts, he goes down to the mortal world and meets a misterious young man, San Lang. The thing is, San Lang is not the one that he seems to be. To be clear, my heart got stabbed while i was reading the books, but i would do it every time again. Five stars are not enough for me, i would give this seriese eight hundred. By the heaven official´s blessing, no paths ar bound!

Did I need this edition after owning all 8 paperbacks? Nope. Is buying all 8 of these new deluxe editions a total waste money which I don't have? Yes. It is lowkey just a cash-grab for Seven Seas to release these after the paperbacks and not giving people the choice between these two editions beforehand? Sadly, yes. Is the book absolutely gorgeous, has great quality paper, a stunning dustjacket with pretty golden foil writing on it and hella cool sprayed edges and was it worth every cent? YES. Sadly, I have fallen victim to capitalism, but these hardcovers are the most beautiful books I have ever owned, and a must-have for fans of this series <3

Mein erster Danmei und auch direkt zu einer meiner Lieblingsbücher geworden. Es war für mich anfangs etwas schwierig die Charaktere aufgrund ihrer Namen zu unterscheiden (vor allem Mu Qing und Feng Xin) doch im Laufe der Zeit war auch diese Hürde gemeistert. Die Geschichte um den Kriegsgott Xie Lian und dem Geisterkönig Hua Cheng hat mich überwaltigt und direkt verschlungen; schon am Anfang von Band 1 kriegt man einen kleinen Einblick in die Vergangenheit zu Xie Lian und zu seinem Leben als Sterblicher bis hin zu seinem Aufsteig zum Gott. Dieser wird in den nachfolgenden Bändern weiter vertieft und kleiner Spoiler; uff, diese sind sehr dramatisch und einfach nur traurig. Der Danmei punktet von seinen vielseitigen und starken Charakteren (Wind Master muss man einfach lieben; dieser erscheint ab band 2) und man lernt sie schnell lieb und lacht und weint mit ihnen. Die Dialoge zwischen den vielen Charakteren, im Ersten Band stark von Xie Lian und San Lang, haben mich oft zum lachen gebracht, wohingegen ihre tragische Vergangenheiten oft zum weinen... Der Erste Band ist ein super Einsteig um Xie Lian, die Götter und Geisterwelt kennenzulernen und macht Lust auf mehr. Ich bin gespannt auf mehr und kann die Reihe einfach nur weiterempfehlen.
