Thorn Season hat mir wirklich ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Besonders die Hauptcharakterin war meiner Meinung nach erfrischend. Sie hat einen starken Charakter und kämpft für ihre Ziele, auf die Art und Weise wie sie es kann. Nicht schon wieder eine „Kriegerin“ die nach zwei Trainingsszenen Männer als Naturtalent besiegt. Sie setzt ihre Position als politisches Werkzeug ein und ist bereit lebenslange Opfer zu bringen um positiven Einfluss zu ermöglichen. Auch die anderen Charaktere sind super ausgearbeitet und vielschichtig und daher nachvollziehbar. Hier gibt es nicht nur die Guten gegen die Bösen. Das finde ich besonders bewundernswert da es der Debutroman der Autorin ist, soweit ich weis. Trotzdem gibt es auch viel Action und ja sie kämpft auch ab und zu mit Hilfe ihrer Fähigkeiten, die Story ist spannend und geht schnell voran. Ich habe das Buch in wenigen Tagen gelesen und bin sehr gespannt auf den zweiten Band!

I was one of the people who bought this book for its beautiful design and stayed for the story! Alissa is a witty, strong fmc with lots of suiters fawning over her. The story might seem shallow at first but the plot twist at the end was unpredictable. I cannot wait for the second book!
