From New York Times bestselling and Hugo Award-winning author T. Kingfisher comes Nine Goblins, a tale of low fantasy and high mischief.
No one knows exactly how the Goblin War began, but folks will tell you that goblins are stinking, slinking, filthy, sheep-stealing, henhouse-raiding, obnoxious, rude, and violent. Goblins would actually agree with all this, and might throw in "cowardly" and "lazy" too for good measure.
But goblins don't go around killing people for fun, no matter what the propaganda posters say. And when a confrontation with an evil wizard lands a troop of nine goblins deep behind enemy lines, goblin sergeant Nessilka must figure out how to keep her hapless band together and get them home in one piece.
Unfortunately, between them and safety lies a forest full of elves, trolls, monsters, and that most terrifying of creatures...a human being.

Scourges of delight!
Delightful, entertaining, heartfelt and filled with courage and bravery! These goblins are absolute sympathetic and Kingfisher once more proves, that she's a master at characterisation. This novel has been a fun read, totally recommended to people who love Prachett! -

Nine Goblins
What a cute and funny little story! This is the perfect "cozy up, start a book and finish it in one sitting"-kind-of-book.. It's short, it's gripping and it's unbelievably funny. As always, no suprise that I really liked a Kingfisher book, but still... It is a good story and it's actually not what I expected! -

Goblins have lots of flaws, but few illusions.
A short tale with lots of fun, wit and quirky characters. Kingfisher once again reminded me why I love reading her books so much. //==// In a world, where goblins are always portrayed as the bad ones, the expandable ones, the brainless sidekicks, this book had a refreshing twist on the whole concept of the bumbling and witless creatures. The goblins finally stood up for themselves. //==// This book is brilliantly funny and made me want to restock my reading list with even more of her books. //==// #goblins #elves #goblinwar #wizard #whimsy #nowayhome -

All they had were pigs and enthusiasm. It’s not their fault.
The Goblins are at war with Elves and Humans. Nine of them get lost in the middle of battle. Everything is chaos. T. Kingfishers short little book about a bunch of Goblins on their way home is funny and charming and surprising in ways that couldn't have been predicted. Great for everyone who needs a little break in form of a book.
