Meine letzte Rezension Every Last Word von Tamara Ireland Stone
High School Student Samantha - Sam - seems to have a perfect life, being part of the highly respected "Crazy Eights", a group of girls at the top of their school's food chain. But she has a secret: Sam is struggling with OCD to an extend that interferes with her day to day life and which she goes to therapy for. She does her best leading a double life until she meets Caroline, who's so different from her but possesses the qualities Sam wishes she had. When Caroline introduces her to the Poet's Corner, a secret club for the likeminded, her life and her perceptions stard to change - not only of her "friends", but also on herself and her values. You can feel that Tamara Ireland Stone put a lot of thought and research into the character of Samantha and her OCD. I consider her portrayal rather fitting and I always like when mental health awareness is spread. The plot-twist at the climax of the story however caught me a little off-guard and I feel like hints should've been introduced early on to make it feel less "out of thin air". Nonetheless I enjoyed the book and I will probably read more of Stone in the future.
