My Comfort Series
In All Systems Red, we follow a "Murderbot" who is send on an expeditions to protect the human scientists at the site. Problem is, he would much rather spend his time watching 1000 episodes of Space Soap Operas, sounds bizarre but it's an absolute delight to read about our robot friend trying not to get attached to his human companions while some space action is going on. I reread this series at least once every 2 months. -

The introverted kind of rebellion
I don't know if I should be concerned or impressed that I can relate so much with this sentient android/cyborg (?). Its such a mood to read how Murderbot just wants to be left alone to basically watch series and interact with humans as little as possible. I love it. -

A funny, socially anxious robot in a dystopian world
All Systems Red is set in a near-future corporate dystopia and it’s somehow funnier than it sounds. Murderbot is a part human, part robot construct who has hacked its own free will and really prefers watching TV over dealing with people. One of the most surprisingly relatable Sci-Fi protagonists: Deadpan, anxious, avoidant and most of all completely endearing. -

I really loved this book. It's short and sweet and also thrilling! I genuinely enjoyed the inner monologue of Murderbot and also the moral dilemma of them being a crewmember or not. The team is super fun and i think the plot was just perfect. If you think about reading that one, definitely do so!
