Daisy Jones & The Six Reese's Book Club: A Novel

Okay. I honestly didn't think I was gonna be that interested in this book. I was scared it would take me a long time to get through this but... I ended up reading this book within a day in just a few sittings and I LOVED it. I wish I had the words to properly describe the way I feel about this book. This was a ride. That's it. That's the best thing I can come up with. Usually, in the real world, bands are formed/created by a group of young people with hopes and dreams - and to play music, of course. They go on the road, on tour, and experience things together. Once they settle down, they have a memorial or autobiography written about them. They have a lifetime of memories to share. Ups and downs of their career. That makes their story. ..... But Taylor Jenkins Reid really wrote a whole story about a band that doesn't really exist and made it seem so authentic, so REAL, that she literally created a band out of that story. (Considering the fact that they technically do have their own Spotify) I have heard of people that even looked the band up after finishing the book, just to double check they're really not real and to be honest, if I hadn't known better, I would have done the very same. While they are not an actual band from the 70's ... this absolutely felt like it happened. All of it. The characters were written in such a real way. So raw and unfiltered. Just - very human. The fact that this book was built up like an interview contributed to it feeling more realistic. This idea was executed in a really smart way. If somebody asked me what happens in this book, I would say 'nothing' but also 'everything'. Even if I would have never expected to be, I was intrigued in the story at pretty much all times and was here for all the emotions that I felt while reading this book. Now that it's over, it actually feels like I just returned from a time travel journey from the 70's...

This was amazing. I really loved that this Book was different than anything I‘ve read before. It’s an interview with all the band members and still a story you can follow and feel along with. I’ve smiled, my heart was broken and in the end I felt at peace. Because this is just a realistic example of how the Rockstar life might be. This was one of my Book Highlights this year and the songs are stuck in my head! I really recommend this Book if you like music and bands like Fleetwood Mac or The Beatles.

Daisy Jones and The Six are a fictional band with a lot of secrets and drama behind their great music. Daisy, the lead singer, is a woman of spirit and strength. But she has a big problem with drugs - which is dangerous for Billy- the main male singer. He was just recovering from drugs and alcohol for his wife and children. But that's not the only reason why Daisy is so dangerous for him. She is everything, she is just Daisy. And she made everything better. It's hard to put into words how much I love this book! I can only say that the quote above, "I am not the muse. I am the somebody," is now part of my everyday life, and I've definitely read the book several times. There's much more to it than just a fictional band and their music. Although the music is a big part of my enthusiasm, anyone who loves Fleetwood Mac will also love Daisy Jones and the Six! The many characters portrayed by the band members are so captivating and real, it's as if they actually existed. The interview-like writing style also makes you forget that this is a purely fictional band from the 70s. But I could say so many great things about this book and it wouldn't be enough. I think everyone should just take a look and let yourself be carried away by the band's rhythm.

This book is unbelievably great. It's dark and messy and crazy. I loved the characters, i loved the setting and I loved the writing. You definitely have to read this yourself, every page is worth the read!

One of the best novels I´ve ever read. I really enjoyed the writing style and how the characters went throw the story. Now I´m super exited for the show and how the music gets into real life songs.
