THE Heist-Fantasy of All Time
Six of Crows has a very special place in my heart because it's the book that got me into reading. I quite literally would not be writing this, if it wasn't for Six of Crows. That may be dramatic but I have a love in my heart for this book that is hard to put into words. The story completely envelops you, it pulls you in in the most perfect way. I'm emotionally attached to the characters in a way that isn't reasonable for a person my age. I've reread it a million times, it feels like, and it never gets boring. If I could make every person to read ONE book, it would be this. And believe me I have tried ;) -

Leigh Bardugo masterfully weaves the different threads of the plot together to create a stunning tapestry of magic, intrigue and lovable characters that will keep you hooked until the very last page and beyond. Though this book is part of the Grishaverse (together with the “Shadow and Bone” and “King of Scars” series) it can be read separately without having to read any of the other series/books. (Though you’ll definitely want to afterwards) This book really is the perfect mix of action, mystery, atmosphere and characters! -

I rarely like every main character in the books I read, but Six of Crows is THE exception. Throughout their deadly mission I laughed with them, worried about them and celebrated their victories. This story is written in a way that makes you feel like you are truly a part of their crew. The Collector's Edition also includes beautiful illustrations of the characters at the end of the book, which adds even more charm to the reading experience. I only had two problems: the moon and Joost's mustache. -

Returning to the Grishaverse, especially to Ketterdam and the crows always feels special. I'm not the first person (and certainly not the last one either) to say this, but Six of Crows is as good as everybody says it is. The characters are diverse and well executed, everyone has their own unique story and Leigh Bardugo does them all justice. The plot is interesting, well-rounded, and you're never able to guess the next step. It's a story that has stayed with me over the years and will continue to do so.
