If there is one author to bend the boundaries of crime fiction, to stretch one's imagination to the fullest and to leave me hanging in the air with one cliffhanger after another it is Stuart Turton. As with his debut "The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle", Turton tied me wholly to each and every page of his newest murder mystery. Everytime I thought that I had finally found some answers he just came around with yet another plot twist which made me question everything I had read so far anew. Everyone is a suspect, everything is shady and murky clues are everywhere - but which of them are the right ones?? It is always the greatest fun to read Turton's books as they teach me to trust nobody (especially not the narrator) and to expect the unexpected in every shape and form.
