    Give it a try, you won't be dissapointed. It was just so good.

    So Grace wants revenge on her father for a lot of things. First he left her pregnant mother, then he doesn't care about Grace, then Grace`s mother dies and he does nothing and then he had the audacity to be disgustingly rich! And she doesn't get anything! So she wants revenge! And she wants him to lose everything he holds dear, like she lost everything she loved - and if in the end nobody else but her is left to inherited everything, then that's fine by her. So she waits, and she plots, and she strikes, and she kills her family. And I enjoyed it all. Yeah, okay her actions are extreme and I`m sure she could have gone and get some therapy, but where is the fun in that? To take out your relatives one by one is way more satisfying, isn't it Grace? I say it is worth reading, have fun but don't go "kill your family"!

    just loved it

    I could not put it down. I wanted to know how she will get all of them. To what length she will go to get what she wants. I loved the dry humor and the characters. At the end it got so frustrating I just wanted to throw my book across and the room and out the window. I honestly thouht it would end differently, but alas it is good anyway!

    Witzig und spannend

    Das Buch hat mir total gut gefallen: es ist witzig, immer wieder auch spannend, auch mal langsamer, aber nie langweilig, mit einem emanzipierten Blick der Protagonistin auf vieles im Leben

    i actually liked it a lot. It was actually the first thriller I've read as I usually read books with bookshops or coffee shops. I think that it was nicely and realistically told, but if you're looking for something that's gonna have you at the edge of your seat then this is not for you

    Bitterböser Roman um Rache

    Grace wuchs alleine mit ihrer Mutter auf, da ihr Vater Simon, Teil einer der reichsten Familien der UK, die Vaterschaft nicht anerkennen wollte. Jetzt, da sie erwachsen ist, lässt sie ihren aufgestauten Wutgefühlen freien Lauf und inszeniert Unfälle um Simons Familienmitglieder der Reihe nach auszulöschen. Jedoch handelt sie sich bald ein ärgerliches Hindernis ein: Grace wandert wegen Mordes ins Gefängnis - aber wegen einem, den sie ausnahmsweise gar nicht begangen hat. Und dabei hatte sie doch noch gar keine Chance, ihren Vater zu töten... Die Geschichte wird mit viel schwarzem Humor erzählt und die Hauptcharakterin ist absichtlich so geschrieben, dass sie einem nicht sonderlich sympathisch ist. Graces innere Monologe können sich manchmal etwas in die Länge ziehen, aber ich hatte Spass daran, die Planung für ihre inszenierten Unfälle mitzuverfolgen.

    Das perfekte Buch für den Urlaub. Überschaubare Länge, Spannung pur, bitterböse Humor und eine tolle Protagonistin, die ganz genau weiß, dass sie moralisch fragwürdig handelt, aber niemals von ihrem Plan ablassen würde

    Adel verpflichtet für dieses Jahrhundert,...

    Adel verpflichtet für dieses Jahrhundert, erfrischend hinterhältig und mit gemeinem Twist am Ende, also nicht vorher nachschauen wie die Geschichte aus geht. Ich habe mich schon länger nicht mehr so bei einem Krimi amüsiert.

    quite enjoyable but not the most outstanding

    How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie is a dark houmored revenge story with a quite unique premise and a memorable but not really likable narrator. Grace Bernard's wit and unapologetic thoughts and actions really make the novel, and the satirical look at wealth, privilege, and family dynamics adds another layer to the story. that said, while the idea and premise is strong, the execution wasn´t that outstanding. Grace's character is engaging at first, but she transformes into a millenial pick me whose humor and narration annoyed me after a time. Also i didn´t quite get, why the twist at the end happened. Overall, it's an enjoyable and original read with plenty of dark humor, but it didn't quite deliver. Worth reading if you enjoy morally questionable protagonists and crime fiction, but not a standout novel for me.

    How to kill tension

    So, so, so dissappointing. After reading What A Way To Go, I was so excited to get into another book by Bella Mackie, that promised an even more intriguing plot. Instead, we got the most obnoxiously millenial pick me protagonist I've ever seen. I am not someone who insists on having a likeable/realatable main character as long as it fits the narration or the story but in a book about taking revenge on people who wronged you, you would expect a character you want to root for. Lukewarm, predictable, very simple story with zero depth, very boring characters with zero redeeming qualities. Sorry, but, for me; a flop.

    Not my sense of humor ...

    Grace has murdered her family and now she's in prison and tells us her story about her family, the murders, and why she commited them. I was ready for a dark, but funny story but unfortunately I didn't share the author's humor which made it really hard to enjoy the book. The pace of the story is rather slow and because we already know, she commited the murders, I was bored really fast. The protagonist rants on about a lot of different things, and it all felt so insignificant to the story. I'm really disappointed because I thought I'd really love this book.
