Threshing Day (Standard Edition)

After waiting almost two years for more, getting to return to this world felt so incredibly good. I genuinely loved this. I went into it knowing I was probably going to devour it, but somehow I still wasn’t prepared for how quickly I flew through it. Experiencing Threshing Day from different perspectives was such a fun addition to the Empyrean world. We get more insight into each of the characters and their bonds with their dragons. Sadly no dragon-POV, but she did say that it wouldn't happen. "The dragons know too much" YEA OKAY REBECCA. Some stories definitely hit harder (Liam, Xaden...) than others, but overall, I enjoyed every single one. And yes, there are definitely moments that made me stop and stare at the page for a second (Liam!!!) Rebecca knows exactly how to give us just enough to make us desperately want more, but we already knew that, too. Was it as huge and plot-heavy as the main books? No, and it wasn't meant to be. It feels more like getting little pieces of the world and its characters that we’ve been waiting so long to see and now I am left with the very predictable problem of wanting more. Again. This being said, I will go touch some grass, hug a tree and then continue to cry my eyes out, because "It's our sacred duty. An honor, really."
