Ich habe mich dazu entschieden, das Buch auf Englisch zu lesen, und es war kein Fehler. Ich liebe die Sprache, die Geschichte und wie die Figuren sich entfalten. Zwar hasse ich Lord Henry, und Basil und Sybil hätten es viel besser verdient gehabt, aber grade das hat nunmal Auswirkungen auf den Leser. Ich werde in jedem Fall noch das deutsche Hörbuch dazu hören.

abosutely loved it, it was well written and has an amazing story line with a great plot. i really enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to everyone. i really love reading classics especially in english. it is also very good to improve your language skills, mostly in terms of vocabulary and phrases.

One of the first classics I have read was "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and it made me fall in love with the genre. Oscar Wilde had such a captivating writing style and a special way of describing the situations the characters were put in. With the dark atmosphere and the intriguing themes in the book, it is definitely worth reading!

A masterpiece.

The Picture of Dorian Gray is my favorite classical book. Oscar Wilde wrote his characters with such care, staying true to their identities. I think that we all, to some degree, are scared to age and die. In this book, Dorian makes the decision to sell his soul to transfer his aging process to a portrait of himself. But even if he stays young and beautiful, one's sins cannot be erased...
