I really wanted to like this book, but it just didn’t do it for me. The world-building is cool, and there’s a lot of potential with the whole faerie world, but the characters didn’t grab me. Feyre starts strong but ends up feeling kind of flat, and the romance with Tamlin felt rushed and not very believable. The pacing is all over the place - some parts dragged while others felt way too fast. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t live up to the hype for me.

I don't know why her writing style works for me, but it just does. Maybe even because everything is described pretty simply, it's easy to understand and nothing wild. Exactly that makes it so easy for me to get in the reading flow and to really let myself dive into her world. I can always connect with her characters and it wasn't different this time. I love Feyre and think she already had a great amount of character development and I really liked Lucien and Rhysand too. Especially Rhysand stole my heart there at the end. He's such a good character I definitely want to see more of. The story itself started a bit slow but got really interesting with some time and the last third was just great. It was such a good ending and I read most of it in one sitting. (I mean the cliffhanger??) I can definitely see how it is supposed to be a Beauty and the Beast retelling and I'm intrigued to see how the story is about to continue.
