This book is quite a read. I really loved that the roles of damsel-in-distress and tough-lover are swapped and I liked this unexpected ending. And most important to me: The romance just supported the plot. So horror-fans, don't skip this little work of art! -

wilted like corpses
I didn't expect much when I started reading and was pleasantly surprised! I really liked the atmosphere and a few aspects of the story. However, as it is merely a novella in my eyes, it wasn't entirely fleshed out and a few parts fell flat. Still, I enjoyed it for the creepy cryptid and cultist vibes. Wish it would have been longer and more detailed!
