This felt like I was on a call with a friend, just chatting about life, love and maturing. I loved Dolly's dry sense of humor and thought the entire book was so relatable. I can also highly recommend the audiobook narrated by the author which does make this feel even more like a phonecall!

I have read this book in one sitting. Cried, laughed and felt purely influenced to appreciate the relationships I have. This book felt like having a conversation with a friend or an older sister who is telling you about her failed relationships, her growing into a confident woman and the unconditional love she feels in a female friendship. I loved every part of it and if I could read it again for the first time, I would do it in a heartbeat. Definitely a must read!

Starting this book during my flight to London was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. First and foremost, most of the stories took place in London so I totally got the vibe, secondly it was freakin’ amazing to recognize all these names, even if it was only a street name lol I truly believe this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Dolly Alderton has a special way of telling stories, which carries the reader away and won’t let you go until you’re completely invested in all the characters. This book is not only about friendship, family and growing up but about making mistakes, finding yourself and learning what’s really important in life. Even though I barely experienced half of the things Dolly wrote about I found a little piece of myself in her stories. She touched me deeply, she intrigued me and - most importantly - she inspired me. Finishing this book was like being with her while she found herself and the true meaning of love. I laughed, cried and sympathized with her. If you haven’t considered reading this book yet, do me a favor. Just go for it. It’s funny, entertaining and a roller coaster.
