The Love Hypothesis Tiktok made me buy it! The romcom of the year!

Highly recommended for those who crave a sweet love story. The characters are well written and the book will keep you hooked till end. I completed it overnight. Couldn’t put it away. Loved it!!

My thoughts: At first, I had a few reservations about the narrative style, as I usually only read books written in the first-person, but these reservations turned out not to be a problem at all. I was immediately drawn into the story, and the structure was nevertheless such that it could just as easily have been told from a first-person perspective. I really liked Olive, and the fact that she kept finding herself in absolutely hilarious situations made her all the more endearing. I have to say, honestly, that I didn’t necessarily find Adam grumpy. Sure, he’s quite reserved and sometimes a bit suspicious, but he has his reasons for that, which were actually quite plausible. I actually preferred the fact that I didn’t perceive him as the classic ‘grumpy’ type, as I’m not exactly a fan of the ‘grumpy x sunshine’ trope. So, for me, it was done quite well. I thought his development over the course of the story was really good. Thanks to Olive, he’s become much more open, and it’s clear that the two of them complement each other well. I also really liked the dynamic between them, and most of the scenes where they argued were quite amusing too. I definitely grew fond of all the side characters too; I was particularly taken with Dr Holden and Malcolm. Tom, on the other hand, I really hated and actually found him very suspicious right from the start. I just don't like him. Even though there were times when nothing much happened for a while – particularly regarding the development of the relationship between Olive and Adam – I never found the story boring. I genuinely always looked forward to reading on. When the incident happened towards the end, I was immediately very keen to see how things would unfold and definitely felt a bit on edge. So the book really did stir up some emotions in me. There were a few situations where I would have liked to read Adam’s perspective, which is why I’m a bit disappointed with the scene chosen for the bonus chapter. But that’s really just a minor point. I’m giving the book 5/5 stars. I thought the love story was lovely, and ‘fake dating’ is a trope I really enjoy reading anyway. There were plenty of funny moments, and there was no shortage of suspense either. --- Meine Meinung: Zu Anfang hatte ich noch etwas Bedenken zum Erzählerstil, da ich normalerweise nur in der Ich-Erzählform lese, aber diese Bedenken waren überhaupt kein Problem. Ich war direkt in der Geschichte drin und der Aufbau war trotzdem so gestaltet, dass er auch aus der Ich-Perspektive hätte sein können. Olive mochte ich sehr gerne und wirklich liebenswert hat sie die Tatsache gemacht, dass sie immer wieder in absolut lustige Situationen geraten ist. Ich muss ehrlich sagen, dass ich Adam nicht unbedingt Grumpy fand. Klar, er ist ziemlich verschlossen und teilweise auch misstrauisch, aber er hat seine Gründe dafür, die auch recht plausibel waren. Mir hat es aber tatsächlich besser gefallen, dass ich ihn nicht auf die klassische Art von Grumpy wahrgenommen habe, denn ich bin nicht unbedingt der Fan vom Grumpy x Sunshine Trope. Daher für mich ziemlich gut umgesetzt. Seine Entwicklung im Laufe der Geschichte fand ich wirklich sehr gut. Durch Olive ist er viel offener geworden und es fällt auf, dass die beiden sich gut ergänzen. Zudem hat mir die Dynamik zwischen den beiden gut gefallen und die meisten Szenen in denen sie diskutiert haben, waren auch ziemlich amüsant. Die Nebencharaktere habe ich definitiv auch alle ins Herz schließen können, vor allem Dr Holden und Malcom haben es mir angetan. Tom dagegen habe ich wirklich gehasst und ihn tatsächlich schon von Anfang an sehr suspekt gefunden. Er war mir einfach nicht sympathisch. Auch wenn manchmal eine Weile nichts passiert ist, gerade in Hinblick zur Entwicklung der Beziehung zwischen Olive und Adam, habe ich mich mit der Geschichte nie gelangweilt. Ich habe wirklich immer gerne weitergelesen. Als es gegen Ende zu dem Vorfall kam, war ich auch direkt sehr gespannt darauf, wie es da weitergeht und habe mich definitiv auch ein bisschen aufgeregt. Das Buch konnte also einige Emotionen in mir wecken. Es gab ein paar Situationen bei denen ich gerne Adams Sicht gelesen hätte, weswegen ich etwas enttäuscht davon bin welche Szene für das Bonuskapitel genutzt wurde. Das ist aber auch wirklich nur eine Nebensache. Ich gebe dem Buch 5/5 Sterne. Ich fand die Liebesgeschichte sehr schön und Fake Dating ist sowieso ein Trope, den ich echt gerne lese. Es gab viele lustige Momente und eine gute Portion Spannung hat auch nicht gefehlt.

Es ist so so toll geschrieben. Ich liebe es. Es ist unglaublich toll geschrieben. Es hat total viel Charme und hat noch dazu viel Humor. Es ist mein erstes Buch der Autorin, aber das Buch hat mich überzeugt alle ihre Werke lesen zu wollen

Ich hab das Buch innerhalb von ein bis zwei Tagen durchgelesen und finde die love Story aber auch die Erzählweise sehr spannend und mitreißend. Es ist süß, aber auch unfassbar heiß(ich musste zwischendurch immer wieder schmunzeln und kichern)

Ich habe schon so viele Bücher gelesen und normalerweise lese ich eigentlich nur Fantasy, aber das Buch ist mir schon als es neu raus kam im Buchladen aufgefallen. Die Rezensionen haben mich letztlich überzeugt es einfach mal mit dem Trope zu probieren und was soll ich mehr dazu sagen, als dass meine aller erste Rezension auf ein Buch selber schon Bände darüber spricht. Es ist absolut fantastisch, ein‘s der besten Bücher die ich gelesen hab omg es ist SO SCHÖN! Wenn ihr was leichtes zum Lesen braucht für so nen ganz entspannten Sonntag, dann plant dafür auf jeden Fall den ganzen Tag dafür ein, es hat mich so in den Bann gerissen, dass ich das Buch innerhalb von ein paar Stunden fertig hatte Flüssiger Schreibstil, die Charaktere wow, man kann sich in jede Figur einfühlen, Moody boyfriend aber das YEARNING. Und obwohl man ungefähr immer davon ausgehen kann was passiert ist das Buch durch so eine originelle Storyline einfach ein totaler Catch We love women in STEM
