The Teen Criminals Who Stare at Each Other Instead of Stealing Stuff

Bewertung am 03.02.2026

Bewertungsnummer: 3034610

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

A gang of misfits planning impossible heists… mostly brooding and flirting. It’s chaotic, clever, and addictive. You’ll laugh, gasp, and want to join their crew, even if they drive you crazy.

I love how complex the characters are and how good they are written. In this story is not one character you can truly hate. Also the story is awesome. In the end I have to say this book destroyed every possible book for me because I can't find a better book than this

No mourners, no funerals

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

Thrilling, mysterious and utterly addictive – a novel I simply couldn’t put down! In the first installment of the “Glory or Grave” - duology follows a cast of six outcasts who plot to break into the most high-security prison in the world to free a prisoner that could change the world they live in forever. The cast of characters is diverse and lovable, each one has a heart wrenching story that gets told in flashbacks throughout the novel. The characters and relationships are beautifully developed without taking away from the action. This book is one of the few instances where multiple point of view actually enhances the plot and pacing of a novel. Leigh Bardugo masterfully weaves the different threads of the plot together to create a stunning tapestry of magic, intrigue and lovable characters that will keep you hooked until the very last page and beyond. Though this book is part of the Grishaverse (together with the “Shadow and Bone” and “King of Scars” series) it can be read separately without having to read any of the other series/books. (Though you’ll definitely want to afterwards) This book really is the perfect mix of action, mystery, atmosphere and characters!

The Ultimate Fantasy Heist

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

To me, Six of Crows is an absolute masterclass in fantasy writing, world-building, and character development. The story follows a crew of six deadly, morally grey outcasts from the criminal underworld who are tasked with an impossible, incredibly high-stakes heist that could change the world forever. What makes this book truly phenomenal is the electric dynamic between the characters. Bardugo weaves together a breathtaking "found family" narrative filled with sharp banter, dark secrets, and simmering tension. You will find yourself deeply emotionally invested in thieves, thugs, and runaways as they navigate a brilliantly well-crafted, gritty setting. It’s a fast-paced story with clever twists, emotional depth, and a dash of suspense. Even if you haven't read anything else in the Grishaverse, this book will pull you right in.
